How to use

Step 1:

Follow the instructions on https://github.com/ErikMinekus/traktor-api-client (or download the zip file here and follow the instructions below) to install the modified D2 controller. This will create a client within traktor that sends data to the server app.

Mac:

  • Navigate to /Applications/Native Instruments/Traktor Pro 3
  • Right click Traktor.app, then click Show Package Contents
  • Navigate to Contents/Resources/qml/CSI
  • Make a backup of the D2 folder!
  • Replace the D2 folder
  • Restart Traktor
  • If you don't own a Traktor Kontrol D2:
  • Go to Preferences > Controller Manager
  • Below the Device dropdown, click Add… > Traktor > Kontrol D2

Windows:

  • Navigate to C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Traktor Pro 3\Resources64\qml\CSI
  • Make a backup of the D2 folder!
  • Replace the D2 folder
  • Restart Traktor
  • If you don't own a Traktor Kontrol D2:
  • Go to Preferences > Controller Manager
  • Below the Device dropdown, click Add… > Traktor > Kontrol D2

Step 2:

Open the app, and if you need to just minimize it.

Step 3:

You should see your track IDs and info appear at http://localhost:8080/api, and within the app's main window as a preview.
