Timed/Synced Lyrics

I was wondering if it would be possible to add synced/timed lyrics to the application. It doesn't even necessarily have to go find these lyrics online, I would be fine with an option to just import/create my own synced lyrics that I could save to a song. Kind of how the "foo_openlyrics" component works for foobar2000.
