Event Releases
The randomizer has had a few releases for special occasions such as April Fools Day or Halloween, which may contain features not available in a typical randomized playthrough. Note that some of these are outdated, and may lack newer features such as boss checkpoints.
Not actually a randomizer, this has been released under a separate project. Expect custom puzzles, custom hints, and non-random progression.
An unusually cursed playthrough, and more heavily modded than prior releases, with custom traps and other changes. Gather candy in the ruins once more!
Warning: There were some reports of unusually slow generation times, so you may want to generate ahead of time.
A varied collection of pranks, introducing seal randomization, limited NPC randomization, and one other feature-to-be. Make sure to Restore files after you've finished to avoid some lingering changes.
"Is this even randomized?" As it turns out, the answer is yes. Includes some unique challenges not present in other versions, and uses modded graphics for best effect. A special release of the auto-tracker was provided to accompany the graphics mods.
Put on your costume and go trick or treating in the ruins, which are full of Halloween-themed enemies courtesy of the graphics pack provided. Enable the inclusion of Hell Temple for a special modded challenge, if you dare.
If you're feeling a bit less brave, you can complete the normal run, generate a seed with Hell Temple enabled, and use your save file to try it out, since you should have all the needed items by then.
This year introduced random starting location, with a forced start in Gate of Time's Surface. A number of extra Spaulders were scattered through the ruins as well, and a challenge was offered: complete the game Spaulder-less. A special release of the auto-tracker was provided to keep track of how many times you stumbled upon a Spaulder. (It's highly recommended/required to randomize transitions and backside doors, due to a bug that breaks the Dimensional Corridor exit door when they're not random.)
A first experiment with special builds. Detailed information has been lost to time.
