This has already been asked and, as far as I know, is unlikely to be implemented. As others have pointed out (refer to #811), the VGM format is bloated and lossy; it's neither meant for editing nor production. I'd also like to point out how how, by design, the VGM format isn't lossy, but the tremendous file sizes do often mean that they will be compressed and stripped of important (in the context of tracking) information. I don't have an example on hand, but I've seen 150MB VGM packs be "optimized" down to 9MB. I recommend reading through thread #811 for additional information. |

I hope that the future furnace supports importing VGZ/VGM as a project?
If these plans are feasible, it will greatly reduce the engineering time of most music writers 😄
The furnace will become the only one in the world who supports importing VGZ/VGM editing and production!
And solve all the problems of the music family 😍
