The main issue with adding an Apply button is that it may also require adding a variable which keeps track of any changes to settings. |

Some settings don't take effect until clicking "OK"... which closes the settings dialog. If one wants to experiment with a setting that has several possible values, this gets tiring. An "Apply" button would make it easier to test stuff.
