Duplicate channel. #1899

Copying my reply from #1638 over to here:
Jeskola Buzz (still the best tracker ever conceived, imo) allows you to clone a machine (Buzz-speak for what is essentially a channel + instrument combined) with patterns. So, clone a generator, then replace the generator with a different one, you'll keep the patterns from the original. OpenMPT can do it as well - right-click the "Channel #" box (eg, directly underneath the rainbow-colored bars, the area you'd left-click to mute/unmute), then select "Duplicate Channel". I'm not too familiar with Renoise and FLStudio, but I suspect they have this feature as well. And of course, the basic gist of the feature is extremely common with non-tracker DAWs. |

It would be too helpful if you could dup the channel in channels window.
Could make it behaves like OPM operators in instruments window.
That is, to dup all the patterns in selected channel to a preferably blank channel.
No need for conversion of volume and such, a straight copy of the channel would be most helpful.
I don't think there's a way to do it yet. Nor any other tracker I've used, mainly OpenMPT ADT2, have this feature.
Thank you all soo much for your consideration.
