SNES BRR Playback issues (Clicking sound when played through instrument) #2134
-
Hey there, I'm new to this and seem to have run into a problem. I'm having issues with a BRR sample (Whistle.brr) after assigning it to an SNES sample instrument (with nothing fancy going on inside.) I have my sample set to BRR within furnace's sample editor and, when I play the sample via keyboard with the sample editor open, it works as expected. However, when I click on any of the SNES channels and try to play on the keyboard using the instrument, I only get a repetitive clicking sound. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? The I'm running Furnace through Flatpak on a Fedora Silverblue 40 system. |

Probably your loop region. SNES samples can only be looped to every 16th sample. Make sure that your start point and end point are a multiple of 16. |

Actually it seems that I was just out of SPC memory, I think.
Removing some of the other samples seems to have fixed it. Strangely I had another sample giving me the out of memory warning, but that one seemed to work just fine, so I was confused.
Thanks for the help anyway!
