Data Basics Fall 2018 Workshop |

This 8-week workshop will teach the basics of the Python programming language with a focus on managing data. Each week will cover the following topics:
- September 26th: Introduction to Jupyter & Data Centric Python Part ONe
- October 3rd: Data Centric Python Part One
- October 10th: Computing Environments: Unix Shell, JupyterLab, Markdown
- October 17th: Data Processing with Python and Pandas Part One
- October 24th: Data Processing with Python and Pandas Part Two
- October 31st: Relational Databases and SQL Part One
- November 7th: Relational Databases and SQL Part Two
- November 14th: Data Visualization with Python
Times:
- The Data Basics workshop series will be Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Location:
- Digital Scholarship Commons on the ground floor of Hillman Library (3960 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15260)

Bring a laptop (and power). You do not need to install any software, everythign will be running in the cloud.
