DeGeŠ uses Markdown, more specifically Github-flavoured Markdown (GFM). Most Markdown tutorials should be suitable.

Footnotes

If you want a comment that is extracted from the main text

This is how you write a footnote.^[It really is here!]

Hyperlinks

A hidden link

[hidden link](http://www.hidden.link.org/)

or a plaintext one:

<http://www.direct.link.org/>

Cross-references

DeGeŠ uses pandoc-crossref. To refer to an equation, write

$$
    E = mc^2
$$ {#eq:emc2}

and then in text

As we have seen in equation [-@eq:emc2], ...

To display everything correctly you should add prefix eq: for equations, fig: for figures and tbl: for tables. - signals that the word "Equation" will not be displayed. Especially in languages which require proper declension this is recommended.
