digital trust ecosystem

Definition

An ecosystem of governed parties that interoperate to achieve a set of trust objectives online. Layer 4 of the ToIP stack is designed to support digital trust ecosystems.

Examples

• The Good Health Pass digital trust ecosystem.
• The GLEIF vLEI (verifiable credential for LEI) digital trust ecosystem.
• The YOMA (Youth Marketplace) digital trust ecosystem.

Notes

• Digital trust ecosystems can be nested. For example, a global digital health ecosystem could contain many regional or country-specific digital health ecosystems.
