What'll do web devs, and the audiences we partner with at TWD, need the site to provide? I say let's have a focused brainstorming session with members of the various audiences of the site.
I'm hoping to have a representative of the TWD leadership (who schedule and promote events), regular attendees, tech speakers/presenters (TWD members or allies like TAP, Tulsa JS, etc.), civic groups seeking hackers (Save Crow Creek, TFD, etc.), and community partners with short announcements/invitations (OII, The Mine, 36).

Whatever we come up with at beer o'clock will be the roadmap with a subset of key features to deliver at the July meeting; the rest will be backlogged. This will be tracked on Trello at https://trello.com/b/KOfFYLiK/tulsawebdevs-org

Lotsa progress at tonight's meeting!

Summary

  • Scheduling next meeting on http://slack.techlahoma.org/
  • Gearing up to use TDD, CI, and just "doin' it proper"
  • Dropping July deadline; using a MVP feature-set as goal
  • Getting a war room to host small team to "mob code" thru features
  • Scheduling a hack session before next meeting; discussing times on slack
