Didn't know where else to post (FB: no techies, Reddit: only old posts), so I'm trying my luck here:
I wanted to make an Alexa app that would work with near real time data (e.g. "Alexa, (...) how long did I sleep last night?") but the sync to the cloud currently takes too much time...
Support said (Jan 5th 2023): Currently, it is required that a foreground sync occurs between the ring and mobile device in order for data to be pushed from ring to app to cloud. That said, there is a feature we released for a short period but is now back in production called Background Sleep Analysis. Once this feature relaunches, it will instantiate the sync when the ring detects signals indicative of you waking up each morning, which sound like it is the solution you are looking for.
Does anyone know a workaround?
hopefully, the more people know and complain about it, the faster Oura will take care of this
