+## The Events Calendar will be getting a new look
+
+On June 28th, the [Events Calendar](https://calendar.ucsc.edu/) theme will update with a new look. This is a design update. No events will be impacted and no widgets that are embedded in other websites will be affected.

+However, with this new look, there will be a notable user experience change. The existing left-hand sidebar and all its content will be replaced by two buttons, a "Filter" button and a three-dot "More" button.
