To enable automatic "ludicrious speed", we should add an auto-scaler to the thruster mapper that will take the thrusters up to their maximal output, even if they have some amount of mechanical reduction in them. This could be done by reading the output current at the maximal calculated thrust output value, and then scaling that appropriately (until right before we are about to blow the fuses).
We should still have an extreme hard limit, to try to prevent breaking the fuses.
