TL;DR:
- Download OVSdownloader.zip
- Extract msdl.exe, downloader.exe, and cygwin1.dll
- Both exe files and the dll file should now be in the same folder
- Run downloader.exe and follow the instructions
- For known errors see bottom of the document, please let me know of others you encounter
To download from the new server (Panopto), use https://github.com/urielha/Video.Technion
This is a Powershell script that can be used to download .wmv files via the RTSP protocol from the Old Technion Video Server at: http://video.technion.ac.il/Courses/
This script uses msdl, compiled for windows by me, supplied here as an exe file, which also requires cygwin1.dll to be present in the same folder.
The PS1 script is then compiled with PS2EXE-GUI created initially by Ingo Karstein and improved upon (including PS 5.0 support) by Markus Scholtes.

This has something to do with Windows Management Framework, please download the latest version from Microsoft. Version 5.1 is here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54616
Retry downloader.exe after installing the above.
