Summary

On adding the telematic module (Intel NUC pc and cradlepoint) to the Blue Lexus and Fusion, it was seen that there was an increase in the route selection issue. This issue was still seen when the pc had been disconnected but investigation is required to see what changes were introduced.
The issue in question is logged here: #74
Fix: usdot-fhwa-stol/carma-web-ui#157

During the initial investigation it was noticed that the connecting the telematic unit lead to increased instances of this issue. This investigation is to identify the changes that caused this behavior.

Reasoning for new functionality

Adding the telematic system to the vehicle involved working with the networking configuration to be able to transmit data outside the vehicle. Since there is a possibility to introduce technical debt if this isn't done correctly, this issue is aimed at understanding the changes introduced and how the mentioned issue was triggered.
