Cosbench - NG: Redefining S3 Benchmarking
S3 Performance tester, that allows you to add multiple slaves and scale up your testing. Tested to 10s of slaves generating load simultaneously in a distributed cluster.
- Limit load generated to specific objects/second rate
- Run multiple slaves, without having to configure each slave independently
- Support large files
- Generates tests results in a csv format, to allow historic logging
- Measure time to first & last byte
- Request New Features / Log Bugs here https://github.com/vardhanv/cosbench_ng/issues
- Get the master shell scripts

$ chmod +x ./master-start.sh
$ ./master-start.sh --help
$ ./master-start.sh --configure
# Example command: Put 1000 objects @ 10 obj/sec into the bucket MyBkt
$ ./master-start.sh -b MyBkt -c PUT -m 1000 -r 10
- find a seperate linux box/vm
- Get the slave shell scripts

- Master Container Available at: docker pull vardhanv/cosbench_ng
- Slave Container Available at: docker pull vardhanv/cosbench_ng-slave
- Running both containers on the same host does not work, because of a known issue with UDP connection between two containers on docker and akka
