Currently no way to have an item not show up in shop or be given manually to user.
Example: Takeo's crowns show up in shop for all players and must be manually disabled with each patch.
Solution?: Hidden shop category to store these items without displaying them to end-users. Find way to assign them directly to users inventories, or give them insanely high cost and use wealth-gen to allow them to be purchased?
Currently Takeo has the item forced onto his character each time it joins the server. If there was a way to make items exempt to showing up in shop they wouldn't be purchasable by other players.
Context:
Events are currently being planned (ie boxing tournament) with a unique item as a reward. In addition, tournaments and events in cRPG1 often had unique items as rewards. Meow has brought up the idea of rewarding other devs/admins/etc with unique items as "compensation" for the time spent with the mod. Would be a nice way to give back. He also modeled me a kick-ass lemon mask that I am fiending to wear.

I don't see why not, but would it be possible for end-users to manually input the URL to access the category in the same way /strategus currently does?
