03 Promo discount payment

Midtrans Promo Payment (for Woocommerce) is a feature that allows merchant to offer a promotion deal in accordance with the payment provider. Merchant can use the first 1-8 digits BINS of card or simply use the payment-type to utilize the Promo feature.

On the checkout page, customer will be presented option to choose for the Promo Payment option. If he choose so, Woocommerce will apply discount (based on Woocommerce coupon config) to the transaction, and then only allow the customer to pay with the Allowed Payment Method within Snap payment page.

Credit card BIN Promo

1. Go to WooCommerce - Settings - Payments - Midtrans Adv: Promo Payment menu

2. Enable feature and fill all necessary information.

   

Field description:

• Title & Customer Message will be displayed to customer, so feel free to change to your own preferred message. Usually filled with the promo name and jargons.
• Fill in: Merchant ID, Server & Client Key, and Environment as instructed in Midtrans Snap Woocommerce Plugin installation procedure
• Allowed payment method, you can fill in with the target promotion payment method. e.g:credit_card or gopay or gopay,bni_va, etc.
• Allowed CC BIN, if you are doing card based promotion, fill with the target BINs number provided by bank that is providing the promo
  • CC BIN Number is The first 6 digits of a credit card number, These identify the institution that issued the card to the card holder.
• Fill Promo code with your desired Woocommerce Coupon code (that you will be creating after this step). For simplification, you can use onlinepromo, but we recommend to change it.

Create coupon discount

1. Go to WooCommerce - Coupon menu.

2. Click Add Coupon.

3. Fill coupon code field with "promo code" you filled above, e.g: onlinepromo.

4. Choose Discount type as per your desire.
   Cart % Discount is to create discount based on a percentage.
   Cart Discount is to create discount based on fixed amount.

5. Fill Coupon Amount field with the desired amount (if you choose based on a percentage, for example you can fill it with 20. It means you give a discount 20%).

6. You can set another field as per your needs. You can modify expiry date, usage restriction, and usage limit.

7. Click publish button to save your configuration.

Gopay Promo, Bank Transfer Promo, or Other Payment Type

• Simply change the field Allowed payment method to the target promo payment-type, for example this is BNI VA & Permata VA promo:

• For testing purpose you can set the Environment to sandbox and do payment testing in sandbox. You can use this Midtrans sandbox testing payment credentials.
