It looks like the bug might be related to how the HttpClient.get stuff works. I've added some debug output in the latest commits in the "/count" logic.
I couldn't see the difference between the HttpClient.get and a browser HTTP GET request.
My findings: Browser works, JUnit test doesn't. In the Browser test, it finds the get parameters, in JUnit it doesn't. Both can send the same URI to the server and it still doesn't find the parameters on the JUnit side.
