Output of C++/queens -test 150:

Commit 60c0175: {598189 steps, 6182 ms}

Commit 932befd: {598189 steps, 3171 ms} (great improvement)

Commit 425126b: {598189 steps, 3098 ms} (slight improvement)

Commit 9da886e: {598189 steps, 3984 ms} (slower)

The inclusion of the class Set implies many allocations and deallocations.
