Is it recommended to run fsfreeze on all PVs to guarantee a reliable backup? #3501

The fsfreeze is to ensure data consistency during backup and is required for Restic backups. If you are using the volume snapshots (e.g. Velero Plug-in for vSphere) those use volume level snapshots to take crash consistent backups and are as reliable as using fsfreeze. For full app consistency you can use an execution hook script to quiesce the application. For Harbor, volume snapshots should be sufficient.
