In this repository, a mixer layout application will be made for recording and live streaming conferences.
The tutorial focuses on creating a mixer layout application using JavaScript and jQuery for recording and live streaming conferences using Dolby Communications APIs. The default open-source mixer layout application based on React.JS is available on GitHub, but the tutorial guides you on customizing the layout to match your branding or implementing custom logic. Each step of the tutorial provides code links for easy access to the latest updates.
To follow along, you will need a Dolby.io Account to acquire an API Key and Secret Key.
Create an empty file script.js, where we will write the logic of the application.
We have recently upgraded our mixer platform to generate recording and stream to an RTMP endpoint in 1080p. HLS streams are not affected and continue to use the 720p resolution. The blog post reflects those changes.
In the case any bugs occur, report it using Github issues, and we will see to it.
We welcome your interest in trying to experiment with our repos.
If there are any suggestions or if you would like to deliver any positive notes, feel free to open an issue and let us know!
