When using MS SQL in the DatabaseStorage the dbmsSupport.getRowNumber(metadataNames.get(0), "desc"); class is called, which returns a row_number() over (order by ... hint.
I left everything default and the database did not work for me, after changing the following: String rowNumber = ""; //return empty instead of calling dbmsSupport.getRowNumber(metadataNames.get(0), "desc"); (in the DatabaseStorage#buildMetadataQuery method).
it worked again for me.
