Does winapps work inside an XRDP session?

Hi, I have an Ubuntu 24 machine that I remote into using XRDP. Unfortunately, I cannot get winapps to work using either a virtual manager Windows VM running Windows Server 2022 or using a docker container running either Windows Server 2025 or tiny11. Specifically, the winapps setup script finds the VM and the RDP port and can sometimes establish the freerdp connection to the VM but cannot finish the setup because I think it fails to start any applications using the /app and /cmd flags. Unfortunately, I am a novice when it comes to freerdp and could not decipher the log files to identify any issues so far.
Without winapps, I can connect to the respective Windows virtual machine desktop using freerdp inside the XRDP session no problem. That is how I have been using the Windows applications so far. Could the issue be that the launching of apps directly using freerdp somehow fails inside an XRDP session due to display config things I don't understand? The easiest answer would be if someboday else is using winapps in an XRDP session without issues, then I would now for sure that it is something I am doing wrong.
