Footprints colliding with edge cuts & mousebites removed from PCB

Many connectors must be placed at the board edges and their courtyard often exceed the edge cuts. Unfortunately after paneling those footprint are completely removed from created PCB panel. When I replace such a footprint with modified one with either courtyard removed or changed that it fits within single PCB, everything seem to works fine. Not sure if the behavior could be changed as there are tons of such components in stock Kicad footprint libs...
Similar behavior seems to apply to copper zones (for complicated outlines it is often convenient that ground planes exceed the edges).
Or do I do something wrong?
