Cool, thanks but seems conky still overlays icons which shouldnt, but its beyond that program must be X11 fault or KDE

Just a random search result: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/7tp0u9/conky_not_working_properly/dtl00ni/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

Create a Window settings for conky and, under "arrangement & access" tab, check off "keep above" and set to "remember." Then, under "appearance & fixes" tab check off "no titlebar and frame" and set to "remember" and "yes," also check off "closeable" and set to "force" and "no" and also check off "window type" and set to "force" and "Dock (panel)." Then restart conky. Problem solved.

I would imagine there is a way to take care of things. Earlier on that post is an example of working settings, and also it is showing the example of using transparency, since, if desktop icons are above or below the conky window it will probably be an issue one way or another, I think you are supposed to move the conky position or the icons for that case.
